Standing Committees

Committee on the Standards of Quality

This committee makes recommendations to the full board on revising the Standards of Quality. The Constitution of Virginia requires the Board of Education to determine and prescribe standards of quality for the public schools of Virginia, subject to revision only by the General Assembly. Also see Virginia Standards of Quality.

Membership

The Standards of Quality Committee is a committee of the whole. Dan Gecker serves as the chair.
