The
Virginia Association of Elementary School Principals (VAESP), the Virginia
Department of Education (DOE), and the National Association of Elementary
School Principals (NAESP) extend an invitation to all assistant principals,
lead teachers, principals, and other professional educators within your school
or school district to participate in the 2007 Annual Assistant Principals/Lead
Teachers Professional Development Conference. The conference will be held March
26-27, 2007, at the Williamsburg Lodge in
This conference is designed
specifically for assistant principals and lead teachers who are responsible for
providing instructional leadership of schools. John Antonetti,
former Director of K-12 Curriculum in the

keynote speakers include Marvin Thompson on leadership, Donna Sawyer on
curriculum/instruction, and Lori Chaney on technology.
A variety of concurrent
sessions will be offered to participants in the strands of leadership,
curriculum/instruction, safety, policy, and technology. Conference participants
will be updated with the latest changes to current policy from the State Board
of Education, as well as new mandates from the 2007 General Assembly.
