Format of
Standards of Learning Tests |
Beginning spring 2007, the format for all Standards of Learning tests, with the
exception of the cumulative tests for grade 8 reading and mathematics, will
appear in one column for both the paper and online versions. This is a change
from the two-column format on previous paper tests. A 12-point Tahoma font will
be used for all tests except grade 3 tests. A 14-point Tahoma font will be used for grade
3 tests.
Typically, the four answer choices will
be listed vertically. However, it will
sometimes be necessary to list the answer choices in two columns. In the latter situation, it is important to
note that, as on previous tests, the four answer choices will read top to
bottom rather than left to right. For example:
A C
B D
