SUBJECT:	2005-2006 Standards of Learning (SOL) Testing Windows for Grades 3 through 8

On January 12, 2005, the Virginia Board of Education adopted a policy establishing three testing windows for the spring SOL administration for tests in grades 3 through 8 beginning with the 2005-2006 school year. This policy will require school divisions to choose one of three established testing windows for the administration of the SOL tests in grades 3-8 for 2005-2006. School divisions will continue to have the flexibility to set their own testing windows for the End-of-Course tests.
