2005 Triennial School Census |
In accordance with the provisions of
Section 22.1-281 through 22.1-286 of the Code of Virginia, March 1 to July 15,
2005 has been designated as the period during which the 2005 Triennial School
Census will be conducted and completed.
School
divisions are required to submit a summary count of all persons between ages 5
and 19 residing in their respective counties, cities, or towns. This single statistic will be reported on
the Triennial Census page within the School and Staff Administration application
accessed via the Single
Sign-On for Web Application Systems. The entry form will be available after July 1, 2005 and should be
completed prior to August 15, 2005.
Instructions, procedures, and sample forms
for the 2005 Triennial School Census can be downloaded from the Departments
website at: http://www.doe.virginia.gov/VDOE/Publications/schcensus/2005/05census.html.
The Department is providing an optional
census enumeration form on the website.
School divisions may download and print the form for use or modify it to
meet their local needs.
After entering the data on the Triennial
Census page, please print and fax the Superintendents Summary of Census
Returns certification to Data Administration at 804-786-0101 no later than
Monday, August 15, 2005.
