SUBJECT:	Substitute Numeracy and Literacy Tests for the Modified Standard Diploma

At its meeting on February 25, the Board of Education approved four substitute tests to satisfy the numeracy and literacy requirements for the modified standard diploma. These are WorkKeys: Reading, WorkKeys: Math, ACT: EXPLORE and ACT: PLAN. All of these tests are available throughout the year and scores are reported 2 4 weeks after testing. Both WorkKeys and EXPLORE/PLAN are published by ACT. Information about these tests may be found at the following websites: http://www.act.org/workkeys/ and http://www.act.org/edcareer/index.html.
