SUBJECT:	Information Sent to School Division Finance Directors

This memorandum is to inform you of information that the Department of Education’s budget office has recently provided directly to your finance directors.This information includes:

1.The restricted and unrestricted federal indirect cost rates calculated for your school division.These rates should be used by your school division when recovering indirect costs on federal grants in fiscal year 2001.

2.The locality ledger report for your school division for the first and second quarters of fiscal year 2001.The locality ledger report lists all funds paid by the department to your school division.The transmittal memo requests school divisions to reconcile the revenue shown on the locality ledger report with revenue recorded locally and to contact the budget office with any questions or discrepancies that are discovered.
